47 XML-RPC Ping Services

Posted on February 25th, 2008 .

Update Services let other people know you’ve updated your website. These services are more commonly used in blogs, sending a XML-RPC ping to various services each time you create a blog post.

I have gathered a list of XML-RPC Ping Services and decided to post here.

You can set up Wordpress to send pings to these services automatically: Choose Options > Writing > Update Services > Paste the list below there and select update.
That’s all now every time you publish a new blog post all those services will be updated automatically.

I have a computer that is not able to connect to a network drive, when I tried it told me something like there was not network connection. It was able to browse the internet and ping to either IP address or computer name.. I tried to renew IP but it displayed an error message about a problem with RPC.

I've since learned about ping flooding, which is something I want to avoid. So, what specifically would be considered "flooding." Is it flooding if I simply send more than one packet?

Once the collection agency notifies you of their intent to collect, dispute it. If it appears on your credit report, file a small claims suit. They will most likely countersue for the amount owed...and you can have your day in court. If you win, you get $1000.

Take it out of the microwave and immediately shake the bag before opening. It always works for me, provided I don’t get distracted. Which I frequently do.Once there are only pops every few seconds take it out.

I have heard that you should use a higher octane rating in your gas if your engine produces pinging noises. What does this sound like? Is it obvious and loud, dull and soft, etc.? Or is the case that sometimes you won't even know about it until the engine is damaged?

Hi,Back in the early networking years with primitive operating systems were very insecure, an attacker could mask a ping packet and make it look like it came from the packets destination. Therefore, the machine would think it pinged itself.

Double check this with your local court rules. But this is how it works here in Michigan. I've helped people do this before, especially to dispute those cell phone penalties.

What is probably going to happen is this. The internet company is going to pester you about the fees.....they will either just drop the issue or turn it over to a collection agency. It's not likely they will place this on your report themselves.

Here is the problem....you have a contract that states you will be charged a penalty if you deactivate before your contract is up.
They are now enforcing that clause. What you have to do is get the whole contract voided...and that may take a lawsuit.

I'm trying to maintain continuously active router activity, because this is required to make my Nintendo DS work with an incompatible router. I've been setting my ping utility to send unlimited pings to a site, but I've since learned about ping flooding, which is something I want to avoid.

We called to cancel, and the rep said that desite the downtimes and fact that their tech support said they couldn't help the Safari issue, Hughes still would not accept a return and would apply a $300 cancellation fee for my friend terminating the contract.

I have a meta tag and everything but it is asking about XML and I have no clue what it is and when I research it is seems as if all the advice is for people who already know a bit about it.. Definitely need to be careful to not ping too often or you might get banned from pinging, if you use services like ping.in or pingomatic remember that they already send pings to many other services.

Just be careful when pinging sites and links, just do it once. Repeatedly pinging can harm your site.

well everybody forgets about PingThatBlog.It has 69 working xml-rpc service with it's own server to ping.

Great list of ping sites. Since pinging some of these sites, I have seen an increase in my blogs traffic. I now use some of these in conjunction with BlogBuzzer.com to automatically update and ping my blog.

BTW I want to know is it safe to ping all of them?

I heard that I can be banned if I considered ping spamming.

Does pingoat / pingomatic ping almost all ping sites of this list?

and if it does, Aren’t we considered as ping spamming??

Pinging services basically are notifying services. Pining is telling those services that your blog has been updated.

This is a pretty useful list. Other than pingomatic, another multi pinging service is pingoat. I found that really useful.

@Odzyskiwanie - Pingomatic pings multiple pinging services but not all mentioned in this article.
there's another multi pinging service called autopinger which is quite good too.
